Destructive tornado hits Dallas, Texas

A tornado hit Dallas on Sunday night. Mobile phone footage captures the distinctive rotating column of air through the dark and stormy sky. Lightning is also visible.

The winds have already caused severe damage in parts of Dallas, according to reports. Residents were advised to take shelter.

Multiple tornado warnings were issued in Texas and the neighbouring states of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri.
