More than 80 NDC members in the Bimbilla Constituency of the Northern Region have defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The defectors, from the Bincheratanga and Gundoo communities, say they are frustrated by what they describe as limited development and a lack of employment opportunities despite their contributions to the NDC.
