Adamus Resources Gets 12-Month Reprieve As Government Moves To Revive Mine

The government has given Adamus Resources Limited a 12-month reprieve, directing the company and relevant state institutions to develop a roadmap to turn around the operations of the mine.
The directive follows a meeting at the Presidency on Friday, August 21, aimed at resolving the dispute between the government and Adamus Resources and safeguarding one of Ghana's few operating indigenous large-scale mines.
Under the agreement, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Minerals Commission and Adamus Resources will jointly prepare the 12-month roadmap.
Implementation will be overseen by a six-member management team, comprising three representatives from Adamus Resources and three from the government.
The team will supervise measures aimed at restoring the mine's operations and improving its financial position.
