Former Works and Housing Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says President John Dramani Mahama's optimism about completing the Saglemi Housing Project highlights the importance of private-sector participation in government projects.

President Mahama, during a tour of the project, said the first 700 houses are expected to be ready for use next year.

Reacting to the development, Mr Oppong Nkrumah argued that the events surrounding Saglemi demonstrate the importance of private-sector involvement and accused the NDC of previously opposing such participation for partisan reasons.
