Agbodza Gives Contractor 2 Months to Speed Up Kumasi Outer Ring Road

Roads and Highways Minister Governs Kwame Agbodza has given Arab Contractors Ghana Limited two months to significantly accelerate work on the 47-kilometre Kumasi Outer Ring Road Project.

The project, which connects five Municipal Assemblies in the Ashanti Region, has recorded only seven percent physical progress and is about 20 percent behind schedule.

Following an inspection, the Minister expressed concern over the slow pace of work and directed the contractor to accelerate construction and make up for lost time.

Meanwhile, Agbodza says the three overpasses and internal roads under Phase Two of the Suame Interchange are expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of October 2026. The phase is currently about 87 percent complete.
