Burnt trucks blocked roads in La Piedad, Michoacán, Mexico on August 19 amid a wave of violence across the state. Authorities said the unrest followed the arrest of nine alleged members of a criminal cell linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Security forces were deployed to reopen highways after vehicles were set on fire and reports of gunfire emerged in the area.
