Ghana Exporters Warn of Delays as China Opens 100% Market Access

The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana is calling for reforms to Ghana's export registration and certification processes, insisting businesses should not spend more than one month completing the required procedures.
Executive Secretary Sampson Asaki Awingobit says exporters currently have to move between multiple government institutions, creating delays that could undermine Ghana's ability to take advantage of China's decision to grant Ghana 100 percent market access.
He made the call on the sidelines of a High-Level Ghana-China Zero Tariff Policy Roundtable.
