Roads Minister Exposes Alleged Cost Manipulation on Projects

Roads and Highways Minister Governs Kwame Agbodza says Ghana has lost significant amounts of money through the actions of some quantity surveyors who allegedly seek additional payments from the state through the revaluation of completed works.
He says the practice, together with challenges surrounding compensation for affected property owners, has contributed to delays in road projects.
The Minister disclosed that two quantity surveyors will soon be reported to the Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO, for investigation.
