Muntaka Charges Police to Intensify Fight Against Vigilantism

Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak has charged the Ghana Police Service to intensify efforts to stamp out vigilantism in the country.

He warned that the growing formation of self-defence groups poses a serious threat to national peace and security.

The Minister made the remarks at the opening of a regional commanders conference at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

He has also directed an immediate end to the sharing and display of video recordings of police service recruits from various training schools on social media.
