“Fulfil Your Promise” — Graduates With Disabilities Protest Over 5% Quota

The Coalition of Unemployed Graduates with Disabilities is calling on government to fulfil its promise to allocate 5% of government recruitment opportunities to persons with disabilities.

The group staged a protest in Accra, saying government has failed to honour the commitment despite several appeals and calls for action.

The graduates say the recruitment quota is critical to creating employment opportunities, promoting inclusion and ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal access to opportunities in the public sector.

The Coalition is therefore urging government to take concrete steps to implement the 5% recruitment quota and address the concerns of qualified graduates with disabilities who remain unemployed.
