GoldBod CEO Sammy Gyamfi has rejected claims that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) attributed the GH¢22 billion in losses recorded under the Bank of Ghana's Domestic Gold Purchase Programme to GoldBod.
Speaking at the Government Accountability Series on Wednesday, August 19, Mr Gyamfi explained his interpretation of the IMF report, saying it stated that the Bank of Ghana incurred US$400 million in losses in 2024 and US$1.7 billion in 2025 through the Domestic Gold Purchase Programme.
The comments follow criticism from the Minority in Parliament, which has linked the reported losses to GoldBod's operations.
