The Ministry of Health has called for greater innovation and digitalisation in the regulation of food, medicines, cosmetics and other products in Ghana.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Health at the FDA's 2025 Review Stakeholders Meeting in Accra, Chief Director of the Ministry, Desmond Boateng, said Ghana must embrace data-driven regulation to improve public safety and regulatory efficiency.
He also called for modern laboratory systems and risk-based approaches that can help identify safety risks earlier and strengthen the country's regulatory framework.
