Newly elected Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has warned party members against using the self-acclaimed title “incoming Member of Parliament.”
Speaking at a meeting with constituency chairmen in Kumasi, COKA said the practice undermines sitting MPs and will not be tolerated under his tenure.
He urged NPP members who intend to contest parliamentary seats to wait until the party officially opens nominations before campaigning for the positions.
COKA also pledged to enforce discipline within the party and ensure that no member is subjected to intimidation or disrespect, particularly within the party's constituency and electoral area structures.
He called on constituency chairmen to help curb indiscipline in their respective areas and said the NPP constitution will be enforced to address such practices
