Tupac Shakur murder trial begins nearly 30 years after rapper's death
The trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis has opened in Las Vegas, nearly 30 years after rapper Tupac Shakur was killed in a drive-by shooting. Prosecutors allege Davis orchestrated the 1996 ambush and supplied the weapon, building their case around his own admissions in a 2008 interview, a documentary and his memoir. Davis' defence argues investigators failed to verify his claims or explore alternative theories. The trial, the first since Shakur's unsolved killing, is expected to last around a month.
