Ghana Chamber of Mines CEO Ken Ashigbey has called for greater predictability and competitiveness in Ghana's mining sector, warning that policy changes that affect security of tenure could discourage investment and undermine future gold production.
On The Point of View with Bernard Avle, Mr Ashigbey discusses the proposed review of the mining law, including concerns over changes to provisions governing mining leases.
He also highlights the importance of GoldBod's traceability programme in tackling illegal mining and illicit gold flows, calling for the system to be implemented more quickly.
