Ghana Mining Companies to Sell 30% of Gold Output Under New Deal

The government has reached an agreement with Ghana's large-scale mining companies requiring 30% of their gold output to be sold to the Bank of Ghana and the Ghana Gold Board for local processing and refining.
The agreement forms part of the Ghana Accelerated National Reserve Accumulation Programme (GANRAP).
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Bank of Ghana, Ghana Gold Board and the Ghana Chamber of Mines, representing the country's large-scale mining companies.
The initiative is expected to support local gold processing and contribute to Ghana's reserve accumulation strategy.
