Ghana Chamber of Mines Seeks Clarity on Adamus Lease Revocations

The Ghana Chamber of Mines says it is engaging Adamus Resources Limited and relevant regulatory authorities to better understand the circumstances and processes that led to the revocation of the company's Akango, Salman and Nkroful mining leases.
The development follows the decision by Lands and Natural Resources Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to uphold the revocation after a Ministerial Review Committee considered Adamus Resources' petition.
In a statement, the Chamber said it wants a full understanding of the findings and processes underlying the decision before commenting further on the substantive issues.
The Chamber has urged all parties to operate within Ghana's laws and established regulatory processes and pursue any outstanding matters through the appropriate legal and institutional channels.
