MP For Wa Central Dr. Pelpuo Defends Demolition of 70-Year-Old Tendamba Primary School

Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has justified the demolition of the 70-year-old Tendamba Primary School to make way for the proposed 24-hour economy market in the Wa Municipality.
The school was demolished on June 13 following months of public disagreement and legal action surrounding the decision.
Speaking to Channel One News, Dr Pelpuo said the demolition was necessary because of the school's poor condition and declining enrolment.
The development has sparked debate over the balance between infrastructure development, education and the government's 24-hour economy agenda.
