The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) says six vehicles and one tricycle were involved in the accident, which occurred at about 4:00 a.m.
Firefighters rescued about 13 injured victims, while 11 unconscious victims were later confirmed dead at the hospital.
The exact cause of the crash has not yet been established, with conflicting eyewitness accounts and police investigations ongoing.
