#NRSA #AccraKumasiHighway #RoadCrash #RoadSafety #GhanaNews #ChannelOneTV #CitiFM The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has provided a preliminary account of the fatal crash on the Accra–Kumasi highway that claimed 12 lives.
Felix Osei of the NRSA says initial information points to several possible contributing factors, including a stationary broken-down tricycle, speeding, a curve on the road and poor visibility or lighting.
He stressed that expanding roads into dual carriageways alone cannot eliminate road crashes, calling for better speed control, proper protection of crash scenes, improved road engineering and lighting, stronger enforcement and enhanced road safety education.
