Traditional leaders of Awutu Odupong have invoked their deities against the MCE for Awutu Senya East, Seth Sabah Serwonoo-Banini, over alleged claims that they were involved in landguard activities.

The chiefs have rejected the allegations, explaining that they rely on traditional Asafo groups to monitor estate development within their traditional area.

They also denied claims that they sent landguards to harass residents of Jei River, insisting that the Asafo groups have a legitimate role in monitoring developments on traditional lands.
