Chinese heavy-lift cranes join earthquake rescue efforts in Colombia #worldnow

A powerful earthquake struck Colombia on August 10, causing widespread damage. As rescue and recovery efforts continue, heavy-lift cranes from Chinese companies have been deployed to the hard-hit city of Pereira. The equipment is being used to lift large structural components that rescuers cannot move by hand, helping open up new access to areas buried beneath the rubble and supporting ongoing efforts to search for survivors.
