Hurricane Lala lashes Hawaii’s Big Island

Hawaii's Big Island is experiencing heavy winds and rain as Category 1 Hurricane Lala approaches. A direct strike would mark Hawaii's first hurricane landfall in more than 30 years. The National Hurricane Center is warning of life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides.
