Chairman White Retains Upper West NPP Chairmanship, Targets 5 Seats In 2028

Newly re-elected Upper West Regional NPP Chairman, Alhaji Aziz Abdul Rahman, popularly known as Chairman White, says the party is targeting five parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region in the 2028 general elections.

Chairman White secured 173 votes to defeat his contender, immediate-past Regional Organizer Alaska B. Kanton, who polled 86 votes.

Speaking at his residence in Wa after being declared winner, Chairman White said the immediate target is to recapture at least three parliamentary seats, while the broader ambition is to win five.

He also pledged to unite the party, work with all stakeholders and strengthen the NPP's structures ahead of the 2028 elections.
