IGP Yohuno Warns Against Religious Bigotry and Incitement

Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno has met with religious leaders at the Police Headquarters in Accra following recent tensions and inflammatory exchanges on social media.

The IGP warned that the Ghana Police Service will not tolerate religious bigotry or online content capable of inciting violence and threatening Ghana's peace and religious harmony.

The meeting follows the arrest of a Christian cleric, an Islamic cleric, and an individual accused of assault, as authorities seek to prevent the escalation of religious tensions.

IGP Yohuno also called on religious leaders to use their influence to promote tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and national unity.
