Ghana's historic forts and castles are facing a growing threat from climate change, with coastal erosion, flooding, salt-induced deterioration and extreme weather putting these important heritage sites at risk. Ghana has secured US$4.5 million from South Korea for a five-year project aimed at strengthening Ghana's capacity to protect its forts and castles from these climate threats.
