Ukrainian drones strike deep inside Russia, hitting refinery and Wildberries warehouse

Russia says a Ukrainian drone attack has targeted a region around 2,000km from the border. Ukraine's military says it hit an oil refinery and petrochemical complex there. Russia's largest online retailer, Wildberries, says the strikes also caused a fire in an industrial area where one of its warehouses is located, forcing an evacuation of employees, though no retail goods had been stored there. Ukraine's campaign against Wildberries has destroyed more than a third of its warehouse capacity since mid-July, inflicting billions of dollars in losses; because the company doesn't insure against drone damage, some independent sellers have been left without revenue. To cope with the fallout, the Kremlin has rolled back environmental standards to allow the sale of low-grade Euro-2 fuel through 2027 and was forced to import its first emergency petrol shipment from India.
