Colombia Earthquake Survivors Left Waiting for Government Help
In quake hit Colombia, the shift from bucket brigades to heavy machinery signals rescuers no longer expect to find many people alive under the rubble. More than 72 critical hours have passed, and police and rescue teams report very few survivors. Families camp in parks, sleep on streets and queue for donated food and tents, mostly from churches, volunteers and medical students. Locals say government aid is barely visible on the ground.
Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman reports from Pereira, Colombia.
