CSIR Calls on Ghana Water to Improve Supply and Reduce Sachet Water Use

The CSIR-Water Research Institute has called on Ghana Water Limited to provide reliable and safe potable water to consumers to reduce dependence on sachet water and the plastic waste associated with its consumption.
The Institute says many Ghanaians resort to sachet water because they lack confidence in the reliability and safety of water from conventional sources.
Former Director of the CSIR-Water Research Institute, Professor Joseph Ampofo, says improving access to trusted potable water will be key to reducing the widespread use of sachet water.
The call was made after the Institute's mid-year review in Accra.
