Ghana Scholarship Secretariat: Kingsley Agyemang Denies Any Wrongdoing

Former Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, has denied allegations of wrongdoing levelled against him by Ghana's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson.
In a statement issued by his lawyers, Dr. Agyemang says he discharged his duties as Registrar with the utmost diligence and denies any wrongdoing.
The response follows recent public comments by the High Commissioner concerning Dr. Agyemang, which his lawyers describe as an attempt to subject their client to public ridicule.
His lawyers also say investigations have already been initiated into allegations of corruption surrounding the award of scholarships during the tenure of the previous administration.
Dr. Agyemang, who is also the MP for Abuakwa South, maintains that he is committed to the rule of law and due process.
