Baba Yara Stadium: NSA Boss Confident Venue Will Be Ready for New Season

Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has expressed confidence that the Baba Yara Stadium will be ready to host the opening match of the upcoming football season.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin in September as Ghana also intensifies preparations to host the 2027 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Following an inspection of the facility, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah praised the Ashanti Regional Directorate for its efforts to restore the stadium to full capacity.
