Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics Mussa Dankwah joins Bernard Avle on The Point of View to unpack the latest poll findings on President John Mahama, the performance of his government, the economy and the 2028 political landscape.
Mussa Dankwah reveals that President John Mahama has a 72% approval rating, with the Upper West Region recording the highest approval, followed by the Volta Region, while the Ashanti Region records the lowest.
He also breaks down the overall performance of the government, with respondents giving positive ratings to its performance, while highlighting the areas where the government needs to improve.
The discussion also examines how Ghanaians rate key government policies, including the No Academic Fees policy, Big Push, tax reliefs, apprenticeship, the Women's Development Bank and the 24-Hour Economy.
Mussa Dankwah further discusses the standard of living, revealing that 53% of respondents say their standard of living has improved compared to a year ago, while 71% are optimistic that their living conditions will improve over the next 12 months.
The conversation also turns to President Mahama's decision not to seek a third term, with 65% of respondents supporting his decision.
Mussa Dankwah also profiles Ghanaians who did not vote in the 2024 elections, revealing a significant shift from previous NPP affiliation towards floating voters and examining what this could mean for the opposition ahead of 2028.
