President John Dramani Mahama's approval rating stands at 72%, according to the latest poll by Global InfoAnalytics.
Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, says the President is most popular in the Upper West Region, followed by the Volta Region, while the Ashanti Region recorded the lowest approval rating.
But how are Ghanaians rating the government as a whole?
Mussa Dankwah breaks down the latest figures on The Point of View with Bernard Avle, revealing how respondents rate the government's overall performance and what the numbers could mean for the administration going forward.
He also discusses ratings for key government policies, including the No Academic Fees Policy, Big Push, tax reliefs, apprenticeship, the 24-Hour Economy and the Women's Development Bank.
Among the policies assessed, the No Academic Fees Policy scored 6.1 out of 10, while the Big Push scored 6.0. Tax reliefs scored 5.8, apprenticeship 5.5, the Women's Development Bank 4.6 and the 24-Hour Economy 4.2 out of 10.
Mussa Dankwah also explains why the government may need to pay closer attention to the relatively small proportion of respondents who rate its overall performance as poor or very poor, and why the performance of specific flagship policies could become increasingly important in future polls.
