German government agrees new powers for intelligence agencies | DW News

Germany's cabinet has approved plans to grant intelligence services new powers to hack communications and counter what they say is a growing threat from cyber and hybrid attacks by foreign countries. Interior Minister Dobrindt says the agencies would “transformed into genuine secret services". But there are also concerns the government might be about to lose control of its spies.
