Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu Released After AG Withdraws Stay Application

Former MASLOC CEO Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu has been released from prison custody after the Court of Appeal struck out as withdrawn the Attorney-General's application seeking a stay of execution of its earlier decision acquitting and discharging her.
The Court of Appeal had unanimously overturned her conviction and 10-year prison sentence, ruling that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
The Attorney-General had subsequently filed an application seeking to keep her in custody pending an appeal to the Supreme Court. That application has now been withdrawn, clearing the way for her release.
