Ukraine Strikes Novorossiysk as Zelenskyy Pushes New US Proposal

Ukraine says its defence forces carried out a “unique operation” against port infrastructure in Novorossiysk, which Zelenskyy calls Russia's last major Black Sea fleet stronghold. Since late June, Kyiv has struck nearly 200 vessels and now warns any fleet-linked infrastructure or boat could be a target. Zelenskyy has presented Washington with a proposal to end the war, including more Patriot interceptor missiles and increased US pressure on Moscow, though many Ukrainians doubt talks before key elections.
