Eye Clinic Given 2 Days to Produce SOP or Face Shutdown

The Allied Health Professions Council has begun a tour of selected health facilities in the Ho Zonal Area to assess their operations and ensure compliance with required safety and regulatory standards.
The exercise is aimed at identifying gaps in the operations of health facilities and ensuring that the Council's requirements are followed to protect patients and improve the quality of healthcare delivery.
At the first stop, Sight Givers Eye Clinic, officials found that the facility was operating without a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
The facility has been given two working days to provide the required SOP or risk being shut down.
Registrar of the Allied Health Professions Council, Professor Issahaku Shirazu, stressed that health facilities must have standard operating procedures to guide their work and ensure safe and quality service delivery.
