Aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has opened up on why he is contesting for the position of NPP National Communications Officer.
Speaking on Face to Face with Umaru Sanda Amadu, Dennis Miracles said his goal is to build “one of the most sophisticated communications architectures that this country has seen in recent times.”
He explained that as an opposition party, the NPP has a responsibility to scrutinise government, highlight what it considers the good, bad and ugly, and communicate the alternative the party is offering Ghanaians.
Dennis Miracles also defended the role of opposition communication, insisting that the NPP must use facts rather than propaganda to challenge government claims and trigger public discussion.
He cited the government's tertiary education policies as an example, arguing that promises on easing the financial burden on students must be closely scrutinised to determine whether the reality matches what was originally promised.
The conversation also touched on the financial pressures faced by students entering university and access to loans to meet first-semester costs.
