Aide to former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, joins Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face for an extensive conversation on his political ambitions, his decision to contest for NPP National Communications Officer and some of the controversies surrounding his time in public office.
Dennis Miracles explains why he changed his position on running for political office, despite previously describing himself as someone who was not interested in holding office.
“When the moment changes, you have to amend your principles,” he tells Umaru Sanda.
He also outlines his vision for NPP communications, promising to build “one of the most sophisticated communications architectures that this country has seen in recent times.” He explains how he believes the opposition should scrutinise government, challenge official narratives and present alternatives to Ghanaians.
The interview also gets into the government's free tertiary education promises, with Dennis Miracles challenging the implementation of the policy and arguing that the original promise was about removing the financial stress associated with university admission.
Dennis Miracles is also pressed on the EOCO investigation and allegations of misuse of government funds. He declines to comment on the details of the case, insisting that questions about the investigation should be directed to EOCO and stressing that he knows when and where to address such matters.
