“Keep the Market Clean or Lose Your Space” – Madina Assembly Warns Traders

The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has warned traders at the Madina Market to comply with the Assembly's sanitation by-laws and refrain from other illegal activities or risk losing their spaces.

The warning follows an engagement between the Assembly, market traders and state agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

Speaking to Citi News during the engagement, Municipal Chief Executive for La Nkwantanang-Madina, Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, said sanitation remains a major priority for the Assembly and urged traders to work with authorities to improve sanitary conditions at the market.
