Rev. Sgt. Jacob Bitirem of the Good Shepherd Methodist Church has urged Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to shun illegal mining and help protect Ghana's environment.

Speaking on the theme, “Our Healthy Environment and Our Future,” he called for responsible and legal mining practices to protect and restore the country's water bodies.

He stressed the need for collective action to safeguard Ghana's natural resources and ensure a healthy environment for future generations.
