Sudan authorities accuse RSF of killing 25 civilians found in mass grave

At least 25 bodies, including women, children, elderly people and medical staff, have been uncovered in a mass grave in Sudan's Blue Nile State. Local authorities accused the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of executing the civilians while occupying the town of Kurmuk. The RSF seized Kurmuk in February before the Sudanese army retook it last month following weeks of heavy fighting. Meanwhile, intense fighting and mass displacement have been reported in West Darfur, while the Sudanese army and RSF have continued drone and air attacks in several areas. The latest developments highlight the mounting civilian toll as the two sides battle for control of Sudan.
