Ghana University Administrators Strike: Members Warned Against Defying Directive

The leadership of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has warned that it will name and shame members who defy its directive to fully comply with the strike.
The strike takes effect today, Monday, August 10, 2026, as the Association protests what it describes as widening disparities in Market Premium and related allowances between Teaching Senior Members and Non-Teaching Senior Members.
GAUA says the disparity has created concerns among university administrators and is demanding action to address what it considers an unfair gap in compensation.
The Association is urging all members to comply fully with the strike directive as it pushes for a resolution to the matter.
