The implementation of the government's approved GH¢720 ceiling for the Container Administrative Charge, also known as the local handling charge, continues to face resistance from some shipping lines operating at Ghana's ports.

Despite the directive, the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF) says some shipping lines are still charging rates above the approved ceiling.
