Creative Arts Fund: L.I. to Be Presented to Parliament Soon – Gomashie

The Legislative Instrument (L.I.) required to give legal backing to Ghana's Creative Arts Fund and make it fully operational is expected to be presented to Parliament for consideration and approval.

Speaking at the Accountability Series on Monday, August 10, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, said the L.I. is currently at the Attorney-General's Department.

She explained that the instrument is expected to be forwarded to Parliament soon, paving the way for the necessary legal framework to fully operationalise the Creative Arts Fund.

The development is expected to strengthen government's support for Ghana's creative sector and provide a clearer framework for funding creative arts initiatives.
