Former Power Minister Dr Kwabena Donkor has denied any involvement in the bribery allegations linked to the US corruption case involving former Tema Oil Refinery Managing Director and Goldman Sachs banker, Asante Kwaku Berko.

The denial comes as Ghanaian authorities begin probing the local dimension of the case.

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) says it has commenced tracing funds and assets that may be connected to the alleged bribery scheme as investigations into the matter continue.

The case has renewed attention on alleged corruption and financial transactions involving public officials and private-sector actors.
