University Administrators Begin Indefinite Strike Over Market Premium Disparities

The Ghana Association of University Administrators has begun an indefinite strike over what it describes as disparities in Market Premium and related allowances between Teaching and Non-Teaching Senior Members.
The Association has directed all members to stay away from work until the concerns are resolved and has warned members against defying the strike directive.
Speaking to Channel One News, the Secretary of the KNUST Chapter of the Association, Phanuel Seli Kwadzo Asense, said improvements in conditions of service should also benefit Non-Teaching Senior Members.
The Association is demanding what it considers fair and equitable treatment in the implementation of allowances and conditions of service across the university system.
