Minority Leader in Parliament Alexander Afenyo-Markin says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has no personal issues with the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi.
Speaking on Metro TV, Mr. Afenyo-Markin said the concerns raised by the Minority are focused on the activities and operations of GoldBod and are not targeted at Sammy Gyamfi personally.
His comments follow remarks by Mr. Gyamfi dismissing criticism from the Minority Leader as being driven by “bitterness.”
Afenyo-Markin said the Minority wants the best for Sammy Gyamfi and urged him to take his time to respond to the issues raised rather than allowing others to attack the Minority.
The GoldBod CEO has also indicated his readiness to appear before Parliament to account for the institution's operations.
