Ghana’s Tourism Sector Grows as International Arrivals Rise to 1.3m

Ghana recorded 1.3 million international tourist arrivals in 2025, up from more than 1.2 million arrivals recorded in 2024.

The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, said the international tourist arrivals generated an estimated $4.34 billion in revenue for Ghana in 2025.

The Minister also disclosed that domestic tourism grew by 7 percent, with visits increasing from 1.68 million in 2024 to 1.79 million in 2025.

The figures point to continued growth in Ghana's tourism sector, with both international and domestic tourism contributing to economic activity.
