Residents along the Millennium City Junction–Yesukrom stretch in the Central Region are raising concerns over the poor condition of the road and its impact on transportation and access to healthcare.
Channel One TV's Central Regional Correspondent, Akwasi Addo, reports that residents say transport costs have increased sharply because of the difficult road conditions, with journeys that should cost about GH¢50 sometimes costing more than GH¢150.
The poor road has also created challenges for residents seeking healthcare, particularly when patients need to be referred to larger facilities and ambulance services are delayed.
Akwasi Addo is also questioning why the Gomoa East Assembly has not deployed its available road equipment to reshape the Millennium City Junction–Yesukrom stretch, despite continued complaints from residents.
Residents are appealing for urgent intervention to improve the road and ease the burden on commuters and communities along the route.
